The most ominous war news has appeared in the March 29th ECONOMIST, page 28.
Jordanian officials report that Iraqis who prior to the war had fled to Jordon to escape Saddam Hussein are returning to fight the Americans.
These officials say 20 buses depart each day for Iraq, and so far 4,000 Iraqis have returned.
The Iraqis say they still hate Saddam Hussein, but the Americans have invaded and bombed their homeland.
Also, reports the ECONOMIST, King Abdullah, once one of Washington's closest allies in the Mideast, is "back-pedaling hard from his support for the Americans."
