    Judging from reports in the mainstream news media, one would think the war is confined to Afghanistan and perhaps Iraq.
    It is bigger than that, and growing fast. It may not be a full-blown world war yet, but it is certainly headed in that direction. According to NAVY TIMES January 20, 2003, the Pentagon has designated these areas as US combat zones:
